Does it raise an immediate red flag?

When you are looking at a kennel website, or advertisement for dogs for sale, does seeing the dog registered with the CKC (continental kennel club) raise an immediate red flag to you? I have seen dogs that boast, UKC and or ADBA peds but also are registered with CKC, what is the reasoning behind this? If your dog is already reg with the two legitimate registries, why register with the CKC?

i dnt know about CKC but my dogs are all registered with ADBA and UKC.... weve registered them also with NKC and APBA just for more shows to attend.. if it was only CKC then yes it would raise a flag and i wouldnt mess with them

i can't answert the question as to why they do it, but yes i won't touch a ckc dog so i guess it does raise a red flag with me

It conjures up thoughts of paper hanging in the other registries for me.

Yes, it's a red flag for me and I've ran across a few sites like that in my search of good breeders. I wish more people would post about the ConKC on their sites to make it so much easier right off the bat to know they are bad breeders and to keep moving onto other sites. It makes for a nice laugh as well.

What is CKC ? Is paper hanging when they Have FAKE paper's ? Yesterday i tried calling someone about a breeder , i couldnt find anyone to take me seriously. Its the breeder I went to Before i bought Crush. They still have the Pups, and have Now CHANGED who they said the father was, and they now say they have Papers. They are also kept in a Old trailer, its Freezing Outside. The state Police told me that as long as they have Shelter, Food and water they cant do Anything ? WTH is goin on !!!

CKC is continental kennel club. I've wondered the same if paper hanging meant fake papers. Wow, PP....glad you didn't get a pup from those BYB's

CKC is like DRA they are pre resiquit so to speak.. Registeries like this are how people are pulling stolen or misplaced dog back into registery by building a consistant 4 gen to 6 gen ped and submitting the dog to a judge with pedigree and usually the DNA P to profile the new entry dog whos ped will read Unknown or Unknown but pure.

The dog makes the papers the papers dont make the dog. For the most part I see junk with CKC, once in while like with the DRA I see some game dogs hiding out. Now the ADBA has made certain changes and the DRA may not be acceptable anymore; but the CKC still is or vise verse dont remember that detail. What I do know is that they are underclass registeries made to get the dogs on a certified ped to follow. I put my strain in the DRA to submit to the ped and all to an ADBA judge, it died with Duma. So I only have one APBT, Hoagie who is ADBA registered. I prefer my dogs to be bonafide, usually those registeries come from ADBA stock. So yeah I guess I do snob off CKC dogs, unless the dog just speaks for itself.

Me too !!! But it sure would help if there was Strickter Laws. I cant find anyone to LOOK INTO these People !!! I emailed The Girl that was selling them and told her I was Onto her game, She had Showed me the father when i went there Months ago, NOW she has another Father listed on the Ad's... I'd Like to TAKE them Dogs and find them good Homes...She doesnt Deserve to have the PRIVLAGE of breeding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^ oh my ears are ringing.. LOL thus why I say no matter what rules the registeries have, the survival of the breed and purity of the strains rest with individuals and their breeding ethics or lack there of; thus a world of paper rung dogs..

What scum bags....those aren't breeders sounds more like they care about $$$. What ever happened to the "Animal cops" of New York? Remember that show on animal planet? I'm surprised your local ASPCA wont get involved. Puppies living in trailers !?! That's good socialization for those poor babies.

Like any Parent, I wouldnt give my Pup's back for Anything. "Diamond" does have a Bit to much Prey Drive 4 me, but I'm working to condition her. Crush is a Wonderful Boy, But I Paid 2 much 4 him. My Point is I wish i checked w/everyone on here First. Ive Seen some great pup's Born from Great Breeders and I'm sure a Few will go to pet Homes.

lol.... She gets so Excited she will run as fast as she can Ears Back across the Pole barn and Slams into the wall ,lol, 3-4 times then she's tired enough to Listen ...hahahahaha

U Got that Right !!!!! Those Animal Cops stick to CITY limits, the People are in a POOR town, I'm not being Mean but they looked Like Meth Heads. They where Skinnier than the Dogs, No teeth and Lived in a Falling down trailer next to the trailer the Dogs where in heated w/ a Wood Stove. The ADD and Video's on the Site made it look like they where a REAL Kennel. I must not of been the Only one to Figure out the BS as they all the Poor Pups are still Listed as Of Yesterdays UPDATE on Hoobly. They started at $1000 now $300.
They are Adorble like all pups, 3 with One side of there face Blue the Other side White. I Pray they end up in the Humane Society because atleast Bull pups get adopeted out at ours.
