Got this from a fellow canadian in one of our groups and trying to get this out to anyone in the Edmonton area.

Monday { march 19th} evening Edmonton city council is meeting to discuss Edmontons breed restrictions! Please tell anyone you know in Edmonton to attend this meeting (no dogs please) and bring studies and facts and information to help this cause.

Don't let them Ban or regulate our breed. Please be respectful , dress nicely and dont add to the stereo type that is on alot of us owners.

Edmonton council has discussed the restrictions and left everything at a stand still until the summer. We encourage everyone to keep fighting for the rights of this breed and fight any BSL that may be considered at a later date.

Hey angelbaby
I hope that when the council meets this summer, all that attend have done a lot of ground work.Pictures-article etc---that may help.People are often governd by NOT havin been given the correct information. Here in the US we also have the same problems, and it's a constant battle.
Thank you,
Henry

Exactly Henry I hope as well that people show up prepared with facts and documented proof and dont just show up with emotions and hostility. Alot of things can get looked over if things aren't presented properly.

That is well said, AngelBaby. Many times people mean well, but say the wrong thing. It is best to be VERY prepared if you plan on speaking. Don't be afraid to write down your points or even read them off a card. It's best to stick to facts rather than personal anecdotes about your own dogs, which is often just viewed as emotional.
Good luck!
