--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to say that was one of the more memorable shows for me. It was great to see everyone again and get to do some pulling like I love. Great competition as well and a good number of dogs, over 45 dogs in the regular class and quite a few Ace dogs!

Rebel did much better than I could have hoped for. He had not been in a harness since 10-17-09 and we just put him back out there on the track. Not only that but he has been living in the house and was WAY over weight just 2 weeks ago. He weighed in today at 59, about 3lbs heavier than he used to pull. He had a stacked class, including pulling against Switch! Anyway he finished 4th, however he went out at the same weight all the other dogs but 2 did. He missed 2nd by less than one percent, basically because of his weight, so what, he pulled great for no work!

TopGunKennels was there with Switch and Notch and gave me the honor of pulling Switch. They were having some problems with him when it was getting heavy but I knew they had never seen the real Switch in action. He weighed in dead on 55lbs. Man it was such an honor to get to pull him again and when he saw me he jumped all in my arms. I dont get sentimental about my working dogs but I got a bit choked up getting to work him again, it was just like good ol times!

Switch worked his heart out for me, it was the best pulling experience I have ever had. In one of the toughest classes Ive pulled against Switch took 1st place in a class of 9 tough dogs. Well we were not satisfied with that, we kept at it and Switch kept giving me his best. We ended up with the Body Pound Trophy, 55lbs and over!

Sean pulled Notch and man they have done a great job with Switch's son! There were some pulling little 30-45lbs dog and Notch weighed in at 49lbs. Sean kept that dog focused and took 1st place in his class as well. Well like father, the son did it too, also taking the Body Pound Trophy for 54lbs and under!

So the 1st place wins AND the Body Pound Trophies went to father and son!!! OFK had 6 dogs off our yard there and they all did very well. One even placed in the conformation ring!

It was a great day and man I miss pulling, I really miss Switch and have to say, I love that dog! If Sean can get him to repeat his performance tomarrow he will get his ACE title, he only needs 14 points now!
