It has been a couple of months of mulling it over, but the decision is now made. This little guy arrives on the 7th to start his new life with me. Ecko and Cheza will help me teach him to be what I need him to be. While he will not replace Ecko, he will keep me busy, and help buffer the pain of his loss when it happens. Please welcome New Heritage Bulldog's Mac Gaisgeach. Call name Geach.

Shout out to Pitbullmamanatl and Aireal for helping me get the pup I've always wanted.

How frickin cool is that. Ya put a smile on my face Mac. Geach couldn’t be painted any cuter. What a looker you got. Look at those paws!! Love him already and expect lots of pics even if we are the only two here, LOL. I am so excited and happy for you. Wish you lived closer so I could get some of that puppy smell and feel how his paw pads are like satin.
Just showed Donna his pictures, after a long awwww, she said TOO adorable.
Looking forward to see him mature. Made my night my friend.

Thanks Joe. I wish all us OGs lived closer. We'd have some pretty rowdy BBQs. LOL!
I'm so excited for his arrival. He's getting cropped Monday and Aireal is delivering him Friday for me. I've prepped all that I can. He'll be my first puppy. And Lauren says he's the most chill Shorty Bull she's ever dealt with.
Donna sounds like she might need a puppy. LOL!

I'll be posting tons of pics once I get him.

A week from today, YAY! Nice that you don’t have to drive to Bartow to pick him up. Been over to the New Heritage page and spent some time there checking it out. Saw some more pictures of Geach and family. Couldn’t be more excited for you. I didn’t know that this will be your first puppy, so that’s my learning something new for the day.
Do you know if you’re going to show him yet? Counting down the days with ya.

Yeah. Aireal lives in Jacksonville and will be driving up to Woodstock. Lauren picked him up from Sunny last week. Aireal and Mike wanted to check out the aquarium anyways, so it was a good excuse to get them up there. And I gave her half what a flight would cost. So mini vaca on me and delivery of a pup so I don't have to leave Ecko. I follow NHB on FB and when the litter dropped I was enthralled with the idea. Then when his eyes were open it was basically the decision maker. He's SO mellow and chill. I'm beyond excited to meet him. I've wanted a smaller dog, but I know I need bull breeds forever. So this was the opportunity I was looking for. All the stars aligned and now my dream dog will be in my lap and learning from my sweet old Ecko in 7 days time.

I've always had throw aways, drop offs, and rescues. I picked Ecko but he was one or two when I got him. This is like a legit picked puppy. I almost had to fight someone for him, but they went with the female instead. LOL!

No fair Lauren gets to spend a week with him, joking of course. I'm just jealous. You picked the right pup too. He is the one I would have picked, and fought for. His sister is cute too with the black and white but I love Geach's color and that white diamond on his chest. And that face!! Happy he's yours and fingers crossed that Ecko boy approves to make things that much nicer. One more week.

I'm jealous Lauren has him this long too!! LOL!
Eris has a little more muzzle to her and I believe she went to a working home. I follow her on Insta. I did love the longer muzzle and black brindle of her, but I don't do bitches in heat. So I absolutely wanted a male so I could possibly try my hand at showing. Also, those eyes show he has an old soul. And that was really the selling point for me.
Ecko has always been pretty chill with other dogs in the house. He's also considerably slower now and steadily losing sight and hearing. He's appetite still works just fine though, so he's got awhile left to teach Geach how life is run in the house of Mac.

Post haircut pics. He's already keeping his wee pads clean overnight. Plays happily by himself only occasionally harassing the old bulls. Stitches come out on Monday. He follows me around everywhere. Basically a toddler with not diaper. LOL!

Thank you Mac for taking the time to share Geach with us. I'm sure his ears itch like crazy but it looks like they did a nice job on them. Love em at that age when they are experiencing everything for the first time and are so eager to learn.
Glad his stitches come out in a couple days. He's going to look different with his ears healed and cleaned up and sans donut. Of course you know I'll want more pictures.
Enjoy the weekend.

They're not too bad right now actually. He's barely trying to scratch at all now. Stitches come out Monday evening and once that's done and they get really cleaned and dried he'll be itch free and good to go. That donut makes his chins all show. LOL! He really is a slim guy. I'll send pics once he's all cleaned up. Then try to find some time to get them on here too.
Hope you're staying warm in your neck of the woods my friend.

One of the techs at the vets office got some good pics of my little guy when he went to get his stitches out.

He was on his back, that was right side up. LOL!!
He's so cute it hurts. For real. And at 13 weeks, I'm pretty sure that his eyes are going to stay green. He's a ham and a jerk but I love him.

LOL, I know Geach was on his back. Just wanted to see him from the not upside down view.
Hoping they stay green too. Have a great weekend.

Napping with Cheza

Being an annoying little brother to Ecko

Happy cute puppy

Excuse the IV shave job. His umbilical hernia was fixed and his hair is just starting to grow back.

Been thinking of you Mac and thanks for posting pictures without me asking, LOL
Cheza gets a cuddle and poor Ecko gets his butt to the face.
Geach is growing too fast but is still cute as could be. They are all looking good, naturally.
Thanks again and stay healthy my friend.

Ecko tolerates the existence of the puppy. So he doesn't want the cuddles. LOL! Geach has actually been wicked sweet and gentle with Ecko, which is surprising considering he screams and throws himself bodily at Cheza in a fit of faux blind puppy rage. He's very extra. LOL!
Geach is pretty leggy right now. So he's actually in the "ugly" puppy stage. He's only 11 pounds at 4 months. So I'm thinking he's going to be on the smaller side of the breed standard. He's holy terror, but he comes looking for me when he gets sleepy. LOL!

I have a strong immune system and naturally wash my hands regularly, so I think I'll be OK. You stay healthy too Joe.
