My name is Barbara (obviously) and I am 20 years old. I live with my boyfriend, who is 21, in Louisiana. We have two dogs, an APBT (possible mix, no papers) and a dachshund. We also have 4 cats.

My APBT is a female, and she is about 7 months old. She is (was?) my very first puppy. Her name is Chevelle and we love her more than anything. She is VERY spoiled. She gets 1 1/2 cups of TOTW daily and a 2 mile walk daily. Still working on her weight since I'm new at this. I want to get her involved in weight pulling, but I know not to train her until her joints are developed. Does anyone here have any advice for me as to how to get started? Where to look for events for unregistered dogs and who I need to talk to? Thanks for any and all advice and Chevelle and I will be glad to learn on this site.

There are some great threads for weight pull info

As for papers so she can pull , I believe the UKC offers limited registration to paperless dogs if they are fixed. Im sure someone on here knows a bit more on that and can chime in or look it up through UKC. As well as alot of fun shows will allow paperless dogs to weight pull as well so look into some local fun shows, just call ahead and double check there rules.

Hope you find this site helpful , and welcome again :)
