Did you read the same article as me??? The end of the article states

" We will always have dogs biting people, especially children. It cannot be totally prevented, but it can be much better controlled if we teach children to read the meaning of what the dog is saying and by a consistant training approach involving everyone associated with the dog. Understanding the reason behind the dog's bite and not jumping to the dominance-of-us-over them conclussion allows for correction and for fewer dogs tuned over to animals shleters or hauled to the veterinarian for euthansia.

I think I read the same article - I clicked on the link.

The owner opted for option 3, a DIY approach. They adopted a 2 year old boy into their home prior to ironing out the issues with the dog and the dog bit the kid in the face for approaching his adoptive mother too quickly. The dog was put down. Stupid and sad. For the kid and the dog.
