So what type of raw food are your pits on? Is it even healthy for them? Ive been feeding my pit boiled chicken breast and rice mixed with her dog food (science diet).

Boiling it just cooks the nutrients out. Science diet isn't a very quality door but even if you're tryin to suppliment that raw food only keeps it's goodness if you feed it raw...

Science diet has fillers in it. Better qaulity foods don't have any fillers, ie corn, soy, wheat, and have whole meat sources listed in the first several ingredients. There are a lot of good foods out there Tast of the wild is one that a lot of people on here feed. Also like becca said, there is no point in feeding the chicken if you're going to boil it. You can feed raw chicken qauters(cheaper than breasts), just make sure you feed them raw. As cooking chicken bones causes them to splinter, but they're perfectly safe raw. :D Goodluck!

There are many threads in the Raw Food section in this area, if you can I suggest perhaps taking some time to read a few then posting anything questions you have in particular. Some times its easier to help members when they do a little research to narrow down the specifics their interested in.

There are many ways to feed Raw, and yes you can mix kibble with raw if your not ready for the straight form. Most of use recommended doing what you see works for your dog as not all dogs are genetically built the same, what ones body tolerates another will not. You may also want to monitor intake, and not free feed so they do not become over weight, or lose weight drastically.

Best of luck
