Hi Everyone!!!

My name is Jonathan and I am new to the Pitbull community. I recently bought my first Pitbull (female grey blue nose) just about 3 weeks ago. She was 5 1/2 weeks (born on 11/11/11) when i got her and she is currently 8 weeks old. i had a few questions about this breed since it is my first time pitbull owner. she seems to snap alot but its only when she is excited, does this mean shes going to be an aggressive dog? i have currently tried to correct her snapping issue because i dont want her to think its fine to be doing that. i was only able to meet the mother of the puppy and she was pretty calm, the father belonged to another person and he belonged to a kennel so i didnt get to meet him.
1. What is the best food recommeneded for Pitbulls?
2. Does anyone know of a Vet that does good at cropping ears in North NJ?
3. What supplements are good for her?
4. Her nose seems to usually be dry. Is this a problem? (its not hot, flacky, irritated, or red. its just dry)
5. Any helpful advice?

Thanx for your time. Your help is very much appreciated!

hey welcome! she is a cutie! I say she is just being a puppy and teething but it is something you should pay attention to and try to redirect her. There is a good thread about it. There are a bunch of threads that cover these topics and can help you out with the other questions. Key is to find a good quality food that works for you and try to make it the best you can afford, not purenia an what not since thats like McDonald's for dogs. :). If you take a look around and have any question, ask away! Sorry I don't know about the nose thing. My boys is wet and dry throughout the day, not sure about puppies but I would think its fine.

WELCOME! Cute puppy! Check out the thread on Training and Socializing Puppies. You should find that very useful. Just an FYI it is actually a law in NJ that makes it illegal for a breeder to sell pups under 8 weeks old. I don't get my dogs ears cropped, but heard Dr. Cohen who is somewhere around Freehold us pretty good. But, like I said mine all have natural ears so I don't know first hand. When using a quality food such as Innova, there is no need to use suppliments in my opinion.

I second the supplements thing,no need for a pup to have em.
Welcome to the forum! And fyi blue nose is not a bloodline or "type" of pit bull,it's just the color of the dogs nose
