how would i or anyone know if your ready to own a pitbull

How would I or anyone know like me having 3 kids and people might be like you have kids and you have a pitbull I want to know what makes some one ready for a pitbull I was just given this puppy im sorry I really don't want to give him up

Great answer, KM. To that I'd add to make sure your house is puppy proof (don't leave anything laying around that you don't want chewed or swallowed). Same thing with your yard which needs to be as escape proof as you can make it. Aside from that, everyone makes mistakes and as long as you don't make the same ones again and again you should be fine.

Thing that sucks for me is that I don't have a fence
