Hi, This is Sandra. Recently I bought a CBD oil for my Tommy as my friend suggest me to buy this homeopathic product for my pet. Its effect was not bad at all but I already questioned it in another dog forum. They said me that, "" Homeopathic views differ greatly from traditional medicine."" So, Should we use traditional medicine for pets? What's the opinion of the vet? Do you have any suggestion, guys?

When we boarded some APBTs for my friend, they broke out of the kennel, and my son’s dog (chihuahua/dachshund) ran out the house and ran up to the pit to fight him and got his butt kicked...

Long story short, he didn’t look good, he wouldn’t move, wouldn’t eat wouldn’t drink water...I got some Pet CBD gave him some and in no time (few hours) he was drinking, and moving around again, and seemed like he wanted to live, where as the day before he seemed like he gave up on life...

Also, couple days later I left the chinchilla cage open and they got out and one of our dogs, got a hold of him...no punctures or broken bones that o could see, but his leg was hurt he wouldn’t move around or jump and when he moves he would hobble...he also wouldn’t eat or drink and just laid there, I decided to give him some CBD too...and soon as I did, he starting moving around shortly after...both recovered fully...

CBD in general is the best thing on planet earth...

But don’t listen to me or anyone else, when it comes down to it, it is your pet, you do what YOU think is best for your animal...

..some will be against it just cuz of where it comes from...others will only be for it cuz they are lit heads and want to justify their usage..

I don’t smoke weed or use any drugs period, but I managed a smoke shop/vape shop for 2 years, and I can say from my customers experiences (which in the area we were located were mostly old people with health issues instead of young pit heads (although we had them too)... and from my own experiences with my pets, and CBD gummy bears I got for my mother in law, who has breathing problems and has a hard time sleeping through night, but one cbd gummy bear and she will sleep all night til like 10am the next day...

CBD is official...but only you, can answer if want to use it for your animal...I personally will always use it for mine when they need to relax or pain relief etc.

I don't have much expertise but make sure there is no thc even a little to carry the cbd into the blood such as in human use stuff is bad for dogs they can't process one of the specific chemicals which can be harmful and also allegedly take years for it to finally break down in the dog's system which is why stoners dogs are always a bit weird or there dogs go strange after smoking around them

Ps I still take my dog to the vet, I don’t skip that process, I used it to calm the dog to access the damage...we still ended up taking him to the vet and ended up paying round $800...only took him cuz he has a laceration that needed stitches, on his cheek...the chin had no noticeable damage, so the CBD was all he needed...

But I definitely go to the vet when needed. Keep up with all appointments etc

The conversation is between some of our mods and highly knowledgeable members in the areas of allergies and health - both more traditionally and more holistic. While I have not used it, CBD oil is pretty well known for being prettey effective at calming dogs and treating pain. I'm not sure that I would purchase it from Petco though. I would probably go with somewhere more familiar with the product, doses, uses, etc.

I'm sure Mac or someone who uses CBD will chime in with their recommendations.

I know this is originally an old post, but I have to chime in.
Homeopathic and modern medicine go hand in hand.
When my beloved Kiya was dealing with a neurological disorder, chronic bronchitis and Cushing's, we did steroids and antibiotics as well as homeopathic items from PetWellness. We got two more good years before she just couldn't do it anymore.
