Hello everyone.

I just adopted a pit from my local SPCA... The vet there said she looks all pit, but she wasn't sure.

This little girl was 17 pounds at 12 weeks old... she's 3 months old to the dot today. She was found in a garbage bag at our local hospital.. someone rescued her, and I just absolutely fell in love with her.

Since I have researched pitbull's, and have realized the huge committment that I'll need to make - and I'm gladly going to do it. She is such a wonderful dog; she sits, pees and poops outside, barks rarely, extremely well mannered.. very curious, very playful. I hope to continue learning more and more from each of you.

I have the three pictures so far of her - can you tell me if you think she's mixed?

The fourth picture is her sleeping with daddy, but my shirt is off - so I'm not including it, but will link to it. I just want to keep this site as friendly as possible. This is the only picture where you can see her legs and chest/belly.

http://i.imgur.com/H1dBrs.jpg - this is the pic that will show her belly/chest.

As for now, she is eating a mix of Science+Diet(what the SPCA gave her) and I'm slowly mixing in Beneful.

Hi and welcome :) without papers you will never know her true identity. She is a dollface though :) thank you for saving her. Id like to meet the person who threw her in the trash like she was nothing. Makes me so mad!

Hi, pgreptom and welcome to the forum. American Bulldog was my first guess too when I saw her pics but as the others have said you'll never know for sure. Congratulations on rescuing her and I'm sure she will have a great life with you. Even if she's not an APBT, do stick around as there is a broad range of information here which will still help you. Everyone here has love for all bull breeds anyway!

I agree with the other two above. Looks Am Bull dog/Boxer cross. But like someone else also stated, without the proper papers, one will never know.

Looks kinda like my old neighbors dog.. What a cutie <3 Take good care of her!

I'm gunna say American Bulldog too. She looks a lot like one we had a few years back. Our vet insisted that our boy was an APBT and we actually had to give him the ped so we could license him under the proper breed loll. It's really hard to tell at this age because a lot of bulldog breeds look very similar and puppies look alike.

It's a very large picture - click to enlarge.

Here she is two weeks later - a full 8 pounds bigger. She's growing so fast... almost fully potty trained. :rain:

AWWWWWWWWW!!!!! She is soooooo cute! I can see Pit in there... but I would lean more towards American Bulldog. The ears really throw me off... I know my little one is a APBT (Papered) but, your pup looks a lot like mine at that age, here:

She even had the same collar at one point-- she's since outgrown it, lol. She was 2 1/2 months there. I see similarities, but it's not exact-- then again, no two dogs are identical. :)
