I have a 11 week old male pit puppy and a 6 month old german shepherd/husky mix, male as well. We have a chain link fence and so far our older dog hasn't shown any interest in wanting to jump it and he easily could. I want to train them both so that they will NOT ever jump the fence. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also we are planning on getting our mix fixed over the summer, but we are keeping the pit intact. Will this cause problems between the two of them or will it make things better when both hit maturity?

We are planning on using the pit in weight pulling events and it looks like they cannot be fixed if they want to compete.

Oh I understand, wasn't offended
I'm a stay at home mom, so they are always monitored anyways, but we live in a city that requires us to have our dogs muzzled when not in a fenced in yard and there is a huge fine if the Humane Society picks up a bully that isn't fixed.

Our shepherd thinks our pit pup is his baby and he is always following him around and making sure he isn't hurt or in trouble. It's so cute.

Oh I agree, the blue boys are hard to not fall in love with!
And thank you, I never like shepherds or huskies really, but when I seen Riley, I fell in love with him and he is the absolute perfect dog. He is not at all hyper indoors, took him 2 days to be crate trained and never had an accident in the house. He also picked up sit and down in a day. He's one hell of a dog!
Diesel is my husbands dog and Riley is my dog. We are going to use Riley in weight pulling as well, but just for fun since he is a mutt. I keep telling my husband that my dog is gonna out pull his and it drives him crazy.
We are up here in the midwest (NE) and all the laws are ridiculous! We rent as well and it took us 6 months to find a house that would allow us to have a pitbull.
