So this topic is basically for some things that are recommended to have at home in case something happens. Please post some, it'll help people who are noobs(like me). Also state the use of each item you post. :woof:

Items:
Gauze Bandages
BandagingEver Clear Alcohol [Anti-Freeze poisoning]
Veterinary numbers and Emergency Numbers
Hydrogen peroxide [Also used to induce vomiting]
Wood splint
Charcoal Tablets [Absorbs the toxins and coats the stomach to protect it from absorbing]
Tendril [In case of allergic reaction]
Neosporin
Bag Balm
Asprin
Triodine 7 [For cuts and scrapes, disinfectant]
Thermometer [To take temperature]
Syrup of Ipecac [To induce vomiting
Ace bandage or Vet Wrap
Aloe Vera Lotion [Used it on hard cracked pads in the winter]
Syringe [Used to get your dog to take fluids or to administer the syrup of ipecac
Pedalite/Gatorade [Used for a dog or cat that is dehydrated and not taking in fluids it replaces the electrolytes]

theres not that much you can do by yourself at home, if its an emergency then the dog needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. these items are only to help you get to the vet or last you til your able to see a vet. pleaswe, everyone, dont try and take on a real emergency by yourself.
if your child broke an arm and has a bone sticking out your not going to try and fix it your self, this shouldnt be the case with an animal either!

Whats a would splint? Is that supposed to be wood? Or is it an actual type of splint?

charcoal tablets are good, i think it's to make them throw up or release toxins or something like that.
also, a pet first aid kit would be helpful, since it has lots of the above noted items in it!

Add to that:

Benadryl is a must to keep on hand in case of an allergic reaction.

Neosporin

Bag Balm

also, a pet first aid kit would be helpful, since it has lots of the above noted items in it!
Charcoal absorbs the toxins. And coats the stomach to protect it from absorbing.
