For the past 2 days My 20month old blue-pit's tail appears not to be going down. He doesn't complain if I touch it, although I do see him trying to bite at it. At first I thought it might have been his rear but has no problems going to bathroom and no other symptoms. Just worried about my baby. Any input would be great. Thanks

May just have what is referred to as a "gay tail". Its a fault with show dogs. Does it kinda scorpion tail up? If so its a "gay tail" and its no big deal.

If the dogs tail curls up over it's back it probably is a gay tail as JTP suggested. Your dog is almost two years old. Has it's tail always been this way or is this something that just developed?

does the tail at the base just not lay against the body but is now being 'held' out an inch or so and the rest of the tail drops?

and if so...........Can your dog still hold the whole tail up when he wants to?
