I (we) have had 5 APBT and some other dogs thru the years. This new pup is happy, fun great with the kids.....but a big baby.
Dose not like being alone. Not seperation anxiety, but not real happy about it. He HAS to sit on your lap, folows me around like a shadow. In short he's like a little kid.
Like I said he's alot of fun and non of this bothers me but, it would be nice if when he gets older, I can be comfortable that he would be protective of my family. I've had other dogs that acted this wayand it's cute and funny. But, non of the pits we have had were this way. They were all nice but even at 3 months they acted like they knew they were the sh*t. I think Rocky came out thinking he was the man.
We all love Lou. He's only now 14 weeks old and is loveable as hell. But, It would be nice if he just manned up a little bit.....not too much though.

No I'm not looking for a gaurd dog. And Lou is just about perfect. It's more of an attitude thing. For example, Rocky and Jackson were happy and friendly but if a stranger came near one of our kids they always put them selves near the child right away. They would not get agressive, just ready. This pup seems more aloof. He's a great dog i'm just wondering if it's something he'll out grow. If not it's no big deal.

Thanks. I am enjoying this little guy. He gose to work with me every day and runs around the office. Everyone is enjoying him. The family got lucky finding such a nice dog at the spca.

I must not be using the right words because no one seems to be getting the gist of what I am talking about here. Thanks for the input though. He is an awsome pup and myself and my girls will enjoy his company for many years. Infact, he's sleeping on my office chair behind me as we speek.

I'm NOT into the dog fight thing but I do know some about them and I have been to one and it made me sick. But, the reason you could not have a human agressive dog (in a real dog fight with true dog men) is because at the start of the fight, you would trade dogs and wash the rival dog then switch back and get to the fight. This would garuntee that nothing was put on the fur, like poison or a chemical. Ifthe dog was HA, it would bite the other handler.
