Took Sarge in about 10 days ago for his rabies vacc... I had his collar slide up to the top of his neck... they gave the vacc right at the base of the neck... A few days ago I noticed a big bulge of skin over his collar and I thought it was just him being a fatty but then when I inspected it there is a good sized bulge there... I removed his collar (which worries me) and the bulge is pretty solid and started about the size of a lemon... I have been massaging it putting heat packs on it (advice from the vet) and watching it... It has gotten a bit smaller now the size of a golf ball but still big enough for me to worry... the vet thinks its a reaction to the vacc but its off to the side of his neck not where they gave the vacc... The vet didnt seem concerned which ticked me off...
any ideas? In 30 freaking years I have not seen this...
