Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I just adopted a Pit Bull and figured I would find a forum to talk about him on. He's 3 years old and his name is Boss. I will post a picture soon.

He`s gorgeous. :D
Maybe google some local APBT clubs and make some phone calls, they probably hold local public gatherings with activities.
(I just learned of 2 in my area the other day, I cant wait to take my boy out to one of them!)

So have i been Lucky all these yrs with the Dogs Ive had or Have i just Picked Dogs that were Less DA than MOST.

no i dont and yes we do go to dog parks.
Welcome to the forum. Your dog is a looker for sure.

Break sticks are strongly recommended to have with this breed. They are an easy an effective way to break your dogs hold should he ever latch on to another dog. Dog parks are very much frowned upon with this breed. Do a search on dog parks and you can read for days. These dogs are prone to DA (dog aggression). Even if he doesn't show it now it can pop up at any time unannounced. Despite the chance of disease at dog parks, should a dog start a fight with yours, chances are yours will finish it. And it won't matter who started it, all people will see and read in the headlines is "Vicious Pit-Bull Attacks Poodle". It's not good for the breed because of all the BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) that is popping up across the country. Do you and your pup a favor, as well as all pit type dog owners, avoid dog parks like the plague.

enough times to know it's better to have and not need, than to need and
not have. most people who aren't familiar with this breed go and get one
because they think they are saving some poor wretch that got a bad rap.
wrong mentality when getting a bulldog, as if and when the dog gets
in an altercation it will be the poor wretch once again on the front pg.
of the local paper siting stricter bsl. these dogs don't need novice owners, they
need educated intelligent people who've done their own homework, and are
willing to take calculated risks based on what they've learned.

if a break stick was availible this would have been corrected in less than
15 seconds.
