I can't even begin to tell you all the silly stuff I've heard people say about the breed. People really need to open books and read. Do there research. But that's the media for you. What ever the news or tv says is what they go with. I'm glad you laughed in her face...I would have done the same thing....lol
Oh, the Myths
Today, a girl at work and I was talking about walking and losing weight. You know, the normal office lunch break woman jabber. She was talking about how she has a little dog and a dog charged her yesterday on a walk. I told her that I don't walk my dogs in my neighborhood for that reason. She was like, "Yeah, because then you would have to put yours to sleep." I said, "No I wouldn't. Why would I put my dog down if an unleashed dog came at us?" She proceeds to tell me it is now law to put a pit bull to sleep if they hurt another animal. Being a smart elic, I asked her to elaborate because I haven't heard of this. She said, "Because, once they get the taste of blood...." and trailed off there b/c I had already began laughing rudely in her face. Her face turned red she was so mad. People are crazy.

i think its funny the stuff people say about them eating raw meat and blood..... its hilarious considering i couldnt tell you how many deer my dogs have helped cleaned while my husband is cleaning them after a hunting trip 
What a ridiculous woman...I wish she could see all the times our neighbors nasty pug has tried going after my pits. A good friend of mine recently had her dog severely attacked by an off leash labrador which tore her dogs skin and muscle layers apart from one another. Her dog had to have surgery and was sent home all bandaged up with drainage tubes...ish. People and their off leash pets... btw all dogs like the smell of blood. Doesn't mean a thing.

i actually had an off leash dog run at me and my leashed dog while i was taking a stroll through the park. instead of watching this little dog get hurt i picked my dog up into my arms. when the owner os the loose ankle biter approached me she had the nerve to ask "are those dogs allowed to walk in the park?" meaning my pit bull. i just told her they were definitely allowed in the park but off leash mutts were not.

I've heard this too but its not that the brain is growing and the skull is to small. Its a dease that can happen to any dog not just dobis or bully breeds. The dease causes the brain to swell and I would imagine very painfully .its called encephalitis here's a link on it.yeah thts what they say about dobis, something about they are so smart and their brains grow and grow but the skull is too small and it drives them crazy..... i think thts a myth too

yeah... brain swelling doesn't cause them to snap. It causes them to die.
I like the "locking Jaw" myth.
I dislike people who think they know the laws about YOUR dog. I mean how crazy! I also hate when off leash dogs come at me and I get yelled at by their owner when my dog is aggressive. HELLO your dog s the one charging us, we were just mindng our business!
LMAO!!!! OMG that's too funny. I was at the store with Dosia once and this guy was acting scared to death. I told him Dosia is fine he's probably one of the most friendly dogs you'll meet. He then says he cut his hand and if he smells the blood he'll bite him. LMAO he's not a freakin shark lol. We got a good laugh outta that one
The dumbest one I've ever heard was that a cop was not allowed to pull you over if you have a pit in the car, because it endangers their life. Uh, yeah, ok. I laughed in that guys face, too.
I have a fix for that! My boston is a rapist! I put my big dog away, and bring out rocket (named for his red rocket not his speed). Grown men are soooooooo upset when my little dog is leashed, their bad dog comes over no leash, then gets faced raped and seems to like it. Then they act like its my fault :clap: dogs sure are funny creatures. the best was a great dane, rocket couldnt even reach anything, but still got the giant to submit!
