Ohio HB14

Rep. Barbara Sears gave sponsor testimony on February 2, 2011, for OH House Bill 14. This bill would remove statewide breed discrimination in Ohio. The testimony was well received and is already scheduled for proponent testimony next Wednesday, 2/9/11 at 9am in State House Room 114.

Please call or write the committee members and let them know it's time for Ohio to end breed discrimination. Committee members contact information and updates on the bill can be found at House Bill 14

A friend of mine went on Wedesday and said it went great. There was overwhelming support backed by statistics of why BSL doesn't work. He said he would be shocked if this bill didn't pass. There were vets, AC officers, behaviorists, trainers, tons of rescue people, and several people from the national level of HSUS and ASPCA (as much as we disagree with them) that came to OH to support this. Lets hope all this support continues and they overturn this law in the worst of all BSL states!
