I was coming home last night with ashes from a friends house I parked in my driveway it was late almost 10 pm so it's dark and I can't see anything, I got out of my car and I hear a chain like noise but I couldn't see where it was coming from, I'm about to get Ashes out of the car when this HUGE a** Rottie runs at me more like charging and literally does jump on me ok!! Thankfully with the slam I had closed my car door so ashes was safely inside :hammer: luckily the dog didn't bite me or at least it missed everything was hapening to fast! The owners ran I got him and were mad at me?!?!?! wtf?? lol I was in my home! ON my yard! I don't get it?????? I have never seen those ppl or that dog. They said they were simply walking there dog and I scared it! ok I was coming home that's all??? And I asked the ignorant fool why was he walking the dog without a lead in the first place??? yea he cussed me out and the other owner grabbed the guy and dog and started to walk away. So he's walking away yelling something and I heard him say "well so u have a pitbull" ok?? my dog was in the car lol what did that have to do with anything wiht all his yellings I guess a neighbor called the police but by the time they got there the guy had left already IMO if u live in the suburbs please walk ur dog with a lead! Idk about rural areas and maybe it's safe enough not too but where I'm from you just can't do that lol not safe for ppl nor pets there's no sidewalks in the first place .

was it a pup? If it was an adult I sure as heck Bernie would protect me. I am not playing with those dogs they are pretty strong and most American Bred show Lines are pretty unstable.

It was full grown no joke this dog was bigger than me! lol I'm only 5'2 and 105 pounds I'd be his meal lol I'm a lil sore LOL I feel as if the dog punched me in the gut, I see firsthand how strong they are! omg and just from tackling me! ANd thank u lex's

No he was def being aggressive with the slam I def got the point he wasn't trying to play with me and the dog was barking at me after the owner retrieved him so with his baggering and the dog barking the neighbors called the cops but U know when u just know when someone is not a good person or may do something? I got the feeling if i argued with guy or kept him there I would of been his meal as well lol dog and owner both looked unstable.

This time of year people tend to case out other people's homes being so close to the Holidays with the economy & all. Just keep a mindful eye for stuff like that, they could casing your place out & 'testing' you.

Could have been worse, be careful - I'd carry mace or a foghorn just until the holidays pass if you're going to be out after dark.

Holey shnikeys that's scary. I would have totally reported them. That's just crazy you could have been seriously hurt. My neighbors had a very unstable rott and it used to get out all the time. One night I was walking Marley with my brother and it jumped over it's fence and charged us. It grabbed Marley and I had to let go of the leash. My brother tried to separate them and I yelled at the owner who was sitting in the window watching. As I turned around Marley was under the rott holding his neck. the lady came out and we separated them and the lady has the nerve to tell me she was gunna sue me for vet bills. I called the cops on my cell phone and made a report. When they came to the house to check on them and the dog the guy tried to have the dog attack the cop and they shot it. After going inside they found out they were meth dealers. I'm so glad we finally got them off the block they were trouble.

I'm glad that you were both ok and didn't get hurt. I would make a report and that way they know and if anything else happens it will already be on file.

Man it sounds like Marley has been worth his weight in gold saving ya'll over the years, you need to go find the fountain of youth for that boy with a quickness he is awesome!!! :hug:

Oh my goodness!! And yes we did file a report but I doubt they'll ever see the guy, the cop went around the area to look for him but no luck :/ aww poor Marely I have a soft spot for that guy. And it looks like I will be carrying some maze with me
