alright so the kids were out of school on Monday and my 6 yera old niece and Orion are the best of friends, he LOVES it when she plays ball with him I got a little video, is awesome that she makes him mind and that he minds her, granted all of my dogs listen to the kids better

You know, Kane hasn't been around a lot of kids because I don't know anyone with them and yet right from the beginning, he is so good with them. Just a total wigglebutt, but knows when he might be scaring the kid and backs off and lets them come to him.

Orion is great with the kids, all of them. He stays away from them if they are tiny and toddling, but once they are about 2, he loves them, lol. With me being a nanny and mom of 3, I have to make sure any dog in my house is good with kids. Is good Kane is so well behaved, he has an awesome mom-lady who taught him great manners

lol Dave she is actually, she is the ONLY one that all of my dogs listen to at one time, I wish i had gotten video of her talkin to the boys & Penny, she tells them to sit, 3 butts ht the floor, she tells them "down", the chests hit the floor, but she is not like that with her dogs at home, lol. OMG she would have Chew doing tricks

lol girl, exposure is best but always in small doses, like I said, being a nanny, I let the kids intereact with them and all the kids I watch have dogs of their own, but the dogs are pretty much pillows and lap warmers, lol.

when we got him at 2 months of age, i let everyone interact with him even kids of all ages., Now hes 8 months old at about 5 months he started to bark at certain kids like if there runnig, his hair stands, if they are wearing something he barks, now 8 months old an dose it even more.

My dads friend brough his autistic son hes 9 yrs old, an bear was barking mad at him, i was telling him no but he just woudnt stop. He kid was laughing, but the min i took bear by the collar towards him he put on his brakes an wouldnt want to meet him.

hmmm this may be something that can be worked thru, do not allow him to be fearful of the kids, being introduced to an autistic kid is not the way to go when he is not big on kids,lol. I can imagine his reaction. Phoenix only barks at kids on skateboards on bikes and only if he is in the car. Maybe try treats when he is around kids, have him sit and "focus" on you, when he looks at the kids, correct him, treat him if he focuses back on you and keep going. Some dogs just don't do kids though, lol. No matter I love me some Bear

I am just saying waht works for me with both of the boys, Penny and Phoebe don't care, lol. Orion is not so bad, his "focus" is superb and it helps when we are out in public. Now with Phoenix, I had to work on this as he will run beside my niece on her skateboard or bicycle but when he is in the car, he barks at anyone on a skateboard or bike, lol. Sooo I made it a point to go to a skate park or show and have him around stuff like that, treats helped sooo much, lol. After a couple of hours, he was mentally exhausted, the kids that kept asking to pet him could, I let them give him a treat and be on his level and he is fine, still haven't broken the car thing though
