Hi, Max is almost 14 months now and he still squats to pee. We had him neutered at 8 months. We had a few friends over this past weekend and they said that since we had him neutered before he began to lift his leg to pee that he will never do that. I don't care one way or another its more of a curiosity for me. Does anybody have any knowledge on this? Thanks..

No, that is not true. It takes some males longer than others to lift their leg. Kangol didn't start lifting his until he was a year and sometimes if it is raining he will squat to pee lol
He'll do it when he is ready.

I had an intact male who would squat and lift. My neutered males were done at 6 months and lifted all the time. Depends on the dog :)

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking along the lines of what you guys said. Doesn't bother me one way or another. I was just curious. Thanks again....
