I'm re-posting this under bully 101. I have a 5 month old named bentley and hes registered under the ADBA as an APBT,but his pedigree analysis has razor's edge, juan gotty, and grayline. which I've been told are american bully lines. I want him to be registered under the proper breed. what do you think?

this is the most recent picture but i posted more under Mangrum's Bently.

The Bullies 101 is for education threads about the American Bully not basic bully discussion. So this thread has been moved.

I just wanted to add that I think this guy deserves some credit for wanting to register his dog correctly. We all jump all over new people who are insistent on calling bullies apbts and so forth so it's refreshing to see someone going about it the right way.

good posts above, those lines you mentioned are bully lines.

so far your puppy is looking nice an leggy, the pup will fill out over time and probibly has a lot more growing to do :)

he also looks like he is nice and vibrant looking, its nice to see a dog from bully lines looking energetic and happy.

good work.

i'm a girl :)

I am very open to changing his registrar...I am in the process of receiving an online pedigree. i had another post that some people requested to see it. I just want what is best for my dog.... I was told by the breeder he was APBT. which is becoming pretty obvious thats not true. I respect my dog and want to tell people when they ask what he really is...

Tony Moore, founder of the Greyline who owned Raider II and Showtime, bred bigger pit bulls with drive. Greyline has always been known for their working dog abilities and drive. Notorious Juan Gotti is nothing more than 100% Greyline dog and was produced by Tony Moore. Something questionable about Greyline is if Raider II was off of Chain Gang Barney. It has been stated that they hung papers because they did not have paperwork on Camacho at the time and Raider II is rumored to actually be off Camacho, not Chain Gang Barney.

As for RE it would really depend on what RE dogs were used because not all RE blood is truly American Bully being that some were based on ADBA dogs, some AKC dogs, and some UKC show dogs.

Grapevine Kennels stock stems from Watchdog blood and they are taller than the bully dogs you see today.

OK going by what you said I found this ped for Grey Line's Raider II, whose sire was Chaingang Barney (supposedly) and the dam was Tony's Showtime.

Basically what I gather from what you have given is that your dog's history says American Bully; however, you are going to have a bigger (taller) dog than most of the bullies that are being bred today and your dog will have a lot of drive compared to the average American Bully.

From the picture you posted your boy is more classic looking and very nice. Do you have a better front/side shot of him? I'd love to see.
