When is a good age to take puppies off of puppy food. Oreo's had puppy food since he was 2 months old. He was off of it for a couple weeks because we couldn't afford it & it seemed like he stopped growing. He's had it ever since & now he's 6 months & 53 pounds. So i just wanted to know when he should be given adult dog food.

Well Oreo has Purina Puppy Chow and my other dog gets either Kibbles & Bits or Gravy Train + Wet Food. & I thought it'd be a year, but I wanted some other opinions.

Eeeeek! All the foods you mentioned are poor quality. You should look in the health & nutrition section of the forum. Food is a big topic and there are lots of threads about quality foods :)

You would be much better off finding food of better quality. The initial price may be higher, but you will feed less and it will pay off in the health department. Even stepping up to a bridge food would be an improvement. There is some very nasty stuff in what you are feeding now, sorry.
