Ok tomorrow will be onyx second confirmation showing. I don't quite know how a akc judge will look at onyx as he is far more terrier than bull type staffy. I think there is seven sbt entered tomorrow. His first show he finished second out of ten. Onyx was the youngest and smallest at the show by three months and six pounds.

Both expecting Alot from akc judges as they like full heavy staffys. Onyx is extremely cut with minor rib showing and looks extremely hard. He comes into this show 31lbs heavier but with the same sizes waist from the October show weighing 25lbs then.

Keep us in mind and hope for the best. I will try to be optimistic, but expect nothing. Shot time is 1:35pm so just think of us.

Dave I have my camera and will crate onyx in the car if I have to get you some pics. Or carry him like you mentioned

Good luck!!! Not to hijack but I can't remember. Do dogs have to be unaltered for a show?

That's what I thought. I've been considering not spaying Athena. I think she might have a chance of doing decent in some shows.

I will find out when I get there. My friend that handles Onyx hasn't mentioned a change to akc/ukc changes. Although I haven't showed Onyx since october. We have gone to multiple shows between October and tomorrow.

Take it as it come I guess. Your at their mercy anyways

Well Onyx did very well. Won puppy and finished 4th male. Again he was far from the cookie cutter sbt's. He was ripped taller and equally as long. Muzzle longer and longer thicker tail. Very to see who was a couch potato and which one dog worked and trained. Onyx stuck out like light in the middle of a dark field.

His behavior overall was at his best out of all his previous trips to shows. However the AKC people are by far the most ignorant people I have been apart of at this particular event. People went out of their way to start drama. Bad attitudes all around. One lady tried to run onyx out of a field when he was going potty. So I let her have it and told her that it was a field and to choose a different path on her walk. I will look for another show to enter him, but at the same time I am going to get him into working events

Tina bought a brand new dcam a few weeks ago after onyx was entered. I took it thinking it's a decent auto adjusting cam. Boy was I wrong. Every pic was like it was night time and no flash. Then she says I had to config it to the environment. Thanks for telling me Under the lights there onyx was shredded. Visual from 10' away single fibers and muscle group fibers flexing when he moved. His hips and rear quarters looked like fingers locking together. His neck and shoulder girdle had deep definition. He wasn't a cookie cutter staffy and he was 7 pounds lighter than the next dog

Thanks gang
