So a few days ago i noticed these little spots of fur that looked like they had been rubbed 'against the grain' on my bully

today i scratched a couple and a little dried skin came off...then i noticed all the hair had came off too..now he's got little bald spots on him

what causes this?

I just thought something had gotten stuck in his fur, but it doesn't appear to be the case.

First off use the "macro" setting on your camera, it's great for close up shots. And 2nd, have you changed foods, added in and medication, exposed to unusual materials/substances? If not, I wouldn't be too concerned with it unless it begins to spread, sometimes dogs just rub something and can lose a bit of fur.

sounds like your dog got a few cuts from somewhere and the scabs fell off to make the bald spots. I would not worry unless you start to see them a lot. If you see them more and more then I would think some type of bug bites causing the scabs could be a possibility but at first look I would not worry yet.

Nu Stock will help the hair grow back quickly. It smells gawd awful, but it works.

Those pictures were taken from my phone, I don't believe it has a macro setting.


I haven't switched up dog foods, we haven't really went anywhere different for him to get into anything.

I guess i'll keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse...thanks for the replies.
