Hi my name is Patrick first time posting here. Stumbled across this site searching about these spots on our new puppy. My daughter has been begging for a dog for a couple years now so I finally broke down and got her one. We found some on craigslist. The guy we ended up getting a pup from had the mother and father on site he had the garage converted into a big dog house with their own ac so I could tell the guy took care of his dogs. The father was HUGE lol scared the sh*t out of me walking around the corner to see a dog that massive staring at me! But anyways back to my point I looked at both mother and father they looked to be in great health he said the mother was allergic to fleas. He had all 13 pups inside a 10x10 steel kennel inside the garage. They were all extremely play full. They all had marks on them what looked to be scars and bite marks from playing and fighting with each other. All the marks seemed to be around the legs and necks. Anywhere where they could get their little teeth to. I'm new to the pitbull scene so not familiar with the allergies they are prone to. I took a few pics maybe you guys here can help me out with. I don't want to take her to the vet and pay a arm and a leg if its just little battle wounds or something I can take care of myself. She doesn't act like they bother her at all. Gave her a bath with oatmeal dog shampoo when I got her home and not sure what kind of food he was feeding them. We have always fed our other dog diamond dog food from a local feed store. I had to upload the pics to a cloud storage because photobuckt and other sites like that made the pics blurry.

looks like it is from the pups all playing to rough. I have had dogs with similar looking spots like the head ones, was from the litter mates biting them. They do play pretty rough at times. I would just keep the area clean and watch it. If you notice it open at all or oozing you can put some polysporin or something on it. they should heal up fine in the next few weeks.

Thank you very much. Yeah I'm trying to break her from being so rough. She's only 11 weeks and I've already had to pull her off of my wife's 2 year old dachshund 3 times. She tries to play with cami and gets a little rough and cami doesn't like it so she snaps at the pup and BOOM she's flipped on her back getting her neck chewed on.

BTW those pits on your SIG are absolutely beautiful!

thank you :) Sounds like she just needs to learn some manners and sounds like the dachshund is teaching her some. I think it is fine for them to be put in there place just supervise to make sure it doesn't go any further then that. When you see it start to get rough just seperate her too, she will catch on that rough play = no play.

Its the puppy that's flipping the dachshund on her back biting her neck. I wish it was the other way around because now the 2 year old dog is scared of the 11 week old dog
