Now i've never paid much attention to Murphy or his law, but since moving, I'm becoming more and more familiar with him. I have come to learn over the last month that if something could possibly go wrong- it will. So here's my story........

Everyday I look at my pup, my heart just fills with love for him. His wrinkles by his nose, they way he lies on my lap or wags his tail. There could not be a better dog out there. But there are also days when he drives me crazy. And he is quite happy to do this to me on a fairly regular basis.
So, anyhow, we were in the middle of yet another blackout (3rd one in a month) and this one was really long. Let's just say that all power was cut before most normal people start cooking- and I was one of them. But I made a plan and we were going to have the leftover half a chicken from the previous night.
After a couple of hours I realised it was starting to get really difficult to see things around the house and decided to start the generator. (By this, I mean I had to call my husband and ask him how exactly I was to start it.) And as is normal in my household, its never as simple as that. I was on the phone with hubby screaming over the noise of a coughing generator while holding a screaming baby in my other hand when I heard my son start screaming from the kitchen. I ran out the garage and into the kitchen only to see my kids running around the kitchen swatting at Tyson, screaming'"Bad dog, drop it!". Trying to make head or tails of the situation I glanced around an noticed an empty plate on the kitchen table and grease all over the floor. Upon asking what was going on, my son explained to me that my daughter tried to surprise me by dishing the food for us while I was trying to get the lights on. Only, the chicken slipped out of her hand, went skidding across the kitchen floor (the back door was open) and Tyson saw 'free food' and ran inside to help himself. The chicken was gone in less than a minute!
There goes my statement of feeding only frozen chicken to the dogs!!!

I wish. I ate the kids cold 2 minute noodles from lunch and found some decent leftovers for the kids!
