Since I have a Mac, I use Final Cut Pro along with LiveType and Motion. Good stuff all around.
I agree, good stuff! I just use iMovie though cause I have not bought Final cut.

Picaso is good too, not sure how many option you can use or what your trying to edit. Microsoft has a movie maker and WAX is another that lets you do stuff, these are all free. Not sure if you can pay, you can get reallly nice ones out there, like Adobe Premier (good user interface, its adobe so user friendly) Corel VideoStudio is great, but pricey, although you can make DVD's and its not just for internet viewing.

These are all JMO. If you tell me what your trying to do (stills into video? editing actual videos? editing home movies? Adding words or details to stills or film??) I could give you better advice...
