So I just got a call from someone who works within the same company as I do.
I have never met her before, but she used my boss's phone to call me.

Apparently she wants to give me her American Bull dog. o.o

This was all left on my answering machine. LOL. I dunno what to think.

I know for sure I can't get another dog. But if the dogs temp is good,I can at least try and get it rehomed for her.

I dunno...Just odd... Will fill in with more details, after I speak with her.
:confused::confused::confused:

Oddest call I ever received.

Anyone want it? XD I don;t even know it's gender haha

That was actually what I thought too. I mean, I never met the girl.
I imagine my coworkers suggested her to call me,cause I love dogs, and they know it.(talk about them 24/7)
But for all she knows,I could be a hoarder...Which is my nickname at work. :/ I keep explaining I only have 2 dogs,a hamster, rat, and cat(who belongs to my roomie)

thats why i said refer her to a pro. besides, the dog is warm and fed in the home its in now. it would be different if it was in danger. personally i would not get involved but if you insist on it then reffer her to ac or a rescue that deals in that breed.

If you feel so compelled, get some links and phone numbers to give her. usually people ask me to take there dogs but what they really need is a little inspiration to step up and be more active in the pets life. laziness leads to un stimulated dogs that lead to the reasons for wanting to push the dog off on someone else. I use my head not my heart when it come to other peoples dogs

I already stated I have no intention of taking in another dog.
I just found it odd someone who doesn't even know me would want to give me their pet, just cause I own dogs.

Dave, what sorta links should I give them? Like ones for activities they can do together. I'm not even sure why she is giving the dog away yet,but from what you're saying it could be they don't have a bond? Or she doesn't have one with the dog? Or can't keep it motivated?
I try to think with both my head and my heart. I know what happens when I think with just my heart, and that usually is no good. XD
If I thought with just my heart,I would be a hoarder already. LOL

Ok, so I guess it's not her dog either. it's her friends dog.
They're moving out of state(military) and can't take the dog with them. They don't want to take it to the shelter,so they're trying to get it rehomed by the 1st.
yikes.
She's an inside dog,3 years old and listens real well.(just saying what they typed)
